My first response towards the information of the need to blog for this subject was shocked and astonished. I kept on asking why? Why we need to do this type of stuff? (Intrapersonal Communication) I could not understand the purpose of giving this task to us. However, after thinking over it thoroughly, i found out that it is actually a type of communication. It is a mass communication that transmits messages to widespread audience through electronic.
Some people blog to express their thoughts and feelings as it could make them feel better. There are also people who take it as a channel to expose their writings to the public with the hope of being recognized and praised by others. They need affirmation by the public and like to be praised by others. Besides, there are not lack of people who just want to share their story and let their friends know their recent activities and upcoming events that they will participate. No matter what their intention is, they are communicating. If people do not give any comment, it is a linear communication. On the other hand, it will be a transactional communication if there are people who give them feedback regarding the things that they post including video, picture and song.
By the way, this is the first time i blog. I need to say thanks to my lecturer as he lets me taste the feeling of blogging. I am quite excited since this is my first time of blogging. If it is not the task that given by him, i think i will not blog for my whole lifetime and cannot understand why people like to blog. Therefore, thank you, Mr. Murali.
